چکیده
Scalable energy conversion/storage by water splitting is significantly hindered the slow kinetics of oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Implementation electrochemical catalysts with low cost and high turn-over efficiency, or application a photoanode in photoelectrochemical (PEC) cell using semiconductor proper protection layer are two possible solutions. Herein, binary Iron-group alloy films (Ni-Co Ni-Fe) one ternary film (Ni-Co-Fe) under self-limiting deposition condition investigated continuous ultrathin various composition generated. The deposition, corroborated XPS depth profile, caused precipitation hydroxide/oxyhydroxide species local pH, enabled privation pH buffer species. Each mutual exhibits improved oxidation compared to pure i Co film. In particular, an overpotential 0.314 V at 10 mA cm −2 Tafel slope 34.7 mV dec −1 obtained on Ni-Fe-Co deposited GaAs further for oxidation. stability towards photocorrosion light aqueous solution containing K 3 Fe(CN) 6 /K 4 electrodepositing while optimum property found

Electrodeposited Iron Group Thin-Film Alloys Structure-Property Relationships
Various iron group alloys have been electrodeposited and evaluated for properties including corrosion resistance, microstructure, electrical resistivity, magnetoresistance and other magnetic properties. Corrosion resistance depends on deposit composition and microstructure, which are controlled by solution composition and deposition variables. Maximum corrosion resistance was observed for 50Ni5...
متن کاملElectrodeposited Co-Pi Catalyst on α-Fe2O3 Photoanode for Water-Splitting Applications
Optoelectronic properties of hematite (α-Fe2O3) as a photoanode and the required over-potential in photo-assisted water splitting has been improved by presence of Co-Pi on its surface. In order to increase the lifetime of the photogenerated holes and lower the applied bias, cobalt-phosphate (Co-Pi) on nanostructured α-Fe2O3 by electrodeposition was de...
متن کاملEnabling unassisted solar water splitting by iron oxide and silicon
Photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting promises a solution to the problem of large-scale solar energy storage. However, its development has been impeded by the poor performance of photoanodes, particularly in their capability for photovoltage generation. Many examples employing photovoltaic modules to correct the deficiency for unassisted solar water splitting have been reported to-date. He...
متن کاملIron-oxide catalyzed silicon photoanode for water splitting
This thesis presents an integrated study of high efficiency photoanodes for water splitting using silicon and iron-oxide. The fundamental limitations of silicon to water splitting applications were overcome by an ultrathin iron-oxide film stack and a pH-adjusted electrochemical environment. It was experimentally demonstrated that this functional photoanode has very strong photoactivity exceedin...
متن کاملDevelopment of an electrodeposited nanomold from compositionally modulated alloys
Electrodeposited multilayers of NiCu/Cu and NiFeCu/Cu were examined for nanoimprinting applications. Layer sizes on the order of 100 nm were deposited and the copper layer etched. Current efficiency and layer composition of electrolytes having different pH values were examined utilizing a rotating disk electrode. Due to large grain growth in the NiCu/Cu system, the bilayers resulted in a macros...
